Environmental challenges discussed
Islamabad: On the directions of Chairman PMYP Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Syeda Amanh Batool, young parliamentarian and Green Youth Movement GYM focal person for the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP) chaired a meeting at Islamabad College for Girls (ICG), F-6/2 says a press release.
During the session Batool emphasised the importance of integrating environmental consciousness into the educational framework and encouraged active participation from the institutions to ensure the success of the programme.
“The involvement of young minds is pivotal in driving environmental change and by embedding the principles of GYM into the fabric of our educational institutions, we are nurturing a generation of eco-conscious leaders who will champion sustainability in all facets of life.”
This meeting marks a significant step towards a greener and more sustainable future, leveraging the energy and creativity of the youth within ICT colleges. Prime Minister’s Green Youth Movement (GYM) is set to be launched across all Islamabad schools and colleges, aiming to foster environmental stewardship and sustainable practices among the youth. Mohyuddin Wani, Special Secretary of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training has taken significant strides in transforming Islamabad Model schools and colleges.
