A highly skilled workforce is the key to the export of services. The government must invest extensively in education and skill training programmes to create an empowered workforce through various schemes and training courses. Additionally, various private institutions can provide skill-development programmes in high-demand areas such as software development, web development, cybersecurity, and data analytics.
Tevta can play a significant role in skills training by offering various IT-related programmes through its network of accredited institutions. Pakistan needs to adopt strategies to strengthen its educational infrastructure, promote public-private partnerships, and provide industry-aligned training to develop a more skilled workforce to unlock the potential of its services sector. We need to adopt measures that can help Pakistan increase its exports, create job opportunities, and attain economic diversification.
