This letter refers to the article ‘What’s the climate like?’ (May 27, 2024) by Murtaza Talpur. The article discusses the climate and weather related disaster in Pakistan between 1992 and 2021 and claims they resulted in around $30 billion in economic losses.
There is no doubt that people have faced many natural disasters in the last few years in Pakistan. The government needs to take some remedial measures on the climate change front to prevent such catastrophes.
