PA speaker greets nation on Youm-e-Takbeer

LAHORE: Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik M Ahmad Khan congratulated the nation on the occasion of Youm-e-Takbeer, stating that this day is a symbol of national security and pride.

On this day, Pakistan became the first nuclear power in the Islamic world and the seventh in the world, he said. He paid tribute to the soldiers, army officers, and all the heroes of the nuclear programme, stating that Youm-e-Takbeer reflects our national defense, sovereignty, and unwavering resolve.

He further stated that the martyrs of the Pakistan Army and security forces are our pride, and their memorials are our national heritage. He also congratulated Nawaz Sharif on being elected unopposed as the President of PMLN, stating that Mian Nawaz Sharif has rendered outstanding services for the democracy of the country.

Meanwhile, the University of Okara's (UO) Directorate of Student Affairs on Tuesday organised a rally to commemorate the Youm-e-Takbeer that is marked with Pakistan’s nuclear defence supremacy in the region. The university security personnel, other staff members and workers from the district Rescue 1122 participated in the rally.
