CM appoints special assistant on anti-corruption
PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Tuesday appointed Brig (retd) Muhammad Musaddiq Abbassi as his Special Assistant on Anti-Corruption.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3(1) & (3) of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Advisors and Special Assistants to the Chief Minister (Appointment) Act, 1989, the Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on the advice of the Chief Minister, is pleased to appoint Brig (Retd) Muhammad Musaddiq Abbassi as Special Assistant to Chief Minister, on Anti-Corruption with immediate effect,” an official notification said.
Musaddiq Abbassi previously served as adviser to former prime minister Imran Khan on accountability following the resignation of Barrister Shehzad Akbar.
He had served in the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for quite a long time and has now been engaged with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to help them deal with accountability issues.He is associated with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and is considered close to Imran Khan.
