CHARSADDA: Provincial Minister for Labour Fazal Shakoor Khan said on Sunday that promoting technical education in the province can significantly reduce unemployment.
Addressing an event organised by a vocational institute, the minister stressed the need to empower women with various skills for societal progress. Secretary labour and other officials were also present on the occasion.
The event showcased stalls featuring handmade items by women from various districts.Fazal Shakoor stated that enhancing the skills of women could help lower the unemployment rate. He added that the provincial government was serious about training people maimed in terrorism incidents in tribal and other districts.
“To achieve this, the scope of vocational centers will be expanded, making disabled people, including those affected by polio and terrorism, a productive part of society,” he added.Furthermore, he mentioned that skilled women would be provided market access in collaboration with the chamber of commerce.
