More centres sought for BISP payments in Bajaur

KHAR: Elders of the Tarkhani and Utmankhel tribes in the Bajaur district have demanded the distribution of Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) payments through the old method by establishing centres in every village.
The demand was made by Syed Badshah, tehsil chairman, Lali Shah, president of Bajaur Chamber of Commerce, Sufi Hameed, president of All Traders Union, Gul Karim Khan, president of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Gul Afzal Khan, president of Awami National Party, Qari Abdul Majeed of Jamaat-e-Islami, Malik Mashooq Khan, Malik Khalid Khan, and Malik Mashoor Khan.Speaking to the media, the elders said restricting distribution to just five centres was creating security issues.
