PTI rejects ‘propaganda’ against party
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) core committee on Friday rejected baseless propaganda against the “country’s largest political party” under the guise of the May 9 tragedy.
The forum unanimously rebuffed the demand for an ‘apology’ after calling the political party representing millions of Pakistanis an ‘anarchic group’.
It said that the PTI, especially its founding chairman Imran Khan, had consistently condemned the May 9 “false flag operation” and demanded a high-level judicial investigation to determine the perpetrators and plotters of the violent incidents including arson and killing of civilians.
The core committee strongly condemned the ‘administrative efforts’ to crush the nationwide peaceful protest and the use of fascism to usurp people’s basic political right of peaceful protests.
