Use of foul language against leadership: PPP warns SIC of tit-for-tat response in future
Senator Palwasha Khan criticized the behavior of the SIC during the president’s address to the Parliament asserting that such language would not be tolerated at any cost
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on Monday warned to PTI-led Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) to get tit for tat response if they continued to use foul and disrespectful language against the PPP leadership.
“The language used against the party leadership during the presidential speech in the joint session of Parliament will not be tolerated and the SIC will get a tit for tat response in future on such a behavior,” said Deputy Secretary Information of the PPP Senator Palwasha Khan and Senator Shahdat Awan while addressing a press conference here Monday.
Senator Palwasha Khan on Monday criticized the behavior of the SIC during the president’s address to the Parliament asserting that such language would not be tolerated at any cost.
Palwasha alleged that the opposition parties were aiming to sabotage the visit of the Iranian President to Pakistan, who had expressed support for the Palestinian cause. “They are also sending a message to global financial institutions about the political instability,” she remarked.
She said President of Pakistan repeatedly offered reconciliation in his address in the Parliament but there is a party in Pakistan which does not want reconciliation and refused reconciliation every time. Palwasha emphasized that the right to protest is acknowledged, hooliganism and disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated.
In the past too, she said when the President of China was to visit Pakistan, the people of prisoner number 804 created chaos due to which the visit was cancelled. “Even now, when Pakistan is receiving the president of Iran, the people of Prisoner No. 804 still have the same intentions,” she said. She reiterated the Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with their Palestinian brethren and extended a warm welcome to the Iranian President for his support.
Speaking on the occasion, Senator Shahadat Awan also highlighting President Asif Ali Zardari’s positive message delivered at the beginning of the parliamentary year. He underscored the significance of the media as a pillar of democracy and expressed optimism for the country’s future.
