‘Keep Korang clean’ activity begins today

Islamabad: The Karim Khan Afridi Welfare Foundation (KKAWF) is holding the fourth edition of the ‘Keep Korang Clean’ activity today (Saturday) along the Korang River, Bani Gala near the Botanical Gardens at 10 am till 1 pm.
This annual awareness event is part of the foundations ongoing efforts to draw attention to the hazardous quality of water flowing into Rawal Dam, the source of drinking water for residents of Rawalpindi/Islamabad. KKAWF and partners along with diplomats; officials; CDA environment team; community members; students from various schools in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, are once again joining hands to clean up the portion of the river just before its entry into Rawal Lake.
