MURREE: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) supreme leader Nawaz Sharif on Monday pledged to redevelop the country after coming to power.

Addressing a rally here, Nawaz said that those who disqualified him for life were tendering resignations while he was standing before them.

He said the person who dislodged him has met poetic justice and has been disqualified for life. He also said that we are standing with our suppressed Kashmiri brothers and will remain standing in future also.

During a power show in Murree just days before the general elections, Nawaz Sharif reiterated that the cost of essentials was much less when he was the prime minister. He pledged to rid the people of the menace of loadshedding.

Nawaz Sharif said the economy was flourishing and businesses were thriving in his last stint in power. He urged the people to vote responsibly as a vote can change the destiny of their generations. He asked the constituents to stamp on the tiger (electoral symbol of PML N) on February 8 and become part of development and progress.

Criticising the judges who disqualified him, Nawaz said the country was devastated after his removal from office and today they were tendering resignations.

Nawaz also hit out at the PTI founder by reminding the people of the empty promises of five million houses, billion tree projects and other such initiatives.

Nawaz promised to launch a train service from Rawalpindi to Kashmir via Murree. Nawaz said Murree being a tourist spot deserved development. He reminded the gathering the first metalled road built by him was between Rawalpindi and Murree.

He recalled the tragic Murree incident when the PTI’s founder as prime minister couldn’t rescue the people trapped in the snow.

He said his party stood by the Kashmiris as he paid tribute to the sacrifices of martyrs.

PMLN Chief Organiser Maryam Nawaz pledged bring about massive development if the party is voted into power. She promised to solve the problems the people of Murree had been facing by providing them gas, health and educational facilities. Maryam also lauded the people especially women who came out of their homes to make the PML N event successful despite inclement weather.

She said “it was time to chase out intruders and vote for Nawaz Sharif. He will bring business and make the lives of labourers easy. He will make flour cheap. Only two days are left. I want to tell you that a vote is not just a piece of paper it will determine your future and well-being,” Maryam added.- SABAH
