JHANG: Senior politician and former interior minister Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat on Wednesday joined the PMLN. He announced his candidature for the upcoming elections in NA-108 and PP-125 constituencies on the PMLN tickets.
The declaration took place during the visit of PMLN President Shehbaz Sharif to Makhdoom Faisal Saleh Hayat’s residence in Shah Jewna.
Expressing his commitment to strengthening the PMLN’s presence in the districts of Jhang and Chiniot, Makhdoom Faisal Saleh Hayat emphasized the party’s prospects in the region.
Notably, in the 2018 general elections, Faisal Saleh Hayat ran as the PPP candidate for this constituency but was defeated by PTI’s Sahibzada Muhammad Mehboob Sultan.
On the occasion, former prime minister and PMLN President Shehbaz Sharif extended a warm welcome to Faisal Saleh Hayat, affirming the party’s inclusive approach. He expressed the confidence that Nawaz Sharif would secure a fourth term as the prime minister.
