Vegetables prices cut only in official list

LAHORE:Prices of majority of seasonal vegetables registered a decline after a consecutive increase for the last couple of weeks.

However, the reduction was recorded only in the official list while in the market, none of the items were available at the rate list prices. Besides, massive overcharging was recorded while there was no check on the sellers from the administration.

The price of chicken was reduced by Rs12 per kg, fixed at Rs296-307 per kg, sold at Rs350-400 per kg, and chicken meat by Rs21 per kg, fixed at Rs445 per kg, and sold at Rs500-1,000 per kg.

The price of potato soft skin new A-grade was reduced by Rs10 per kg, fixed at Rs53-58 per kg, B-grade at Rs46-50 per kg, and C-grade at Rs43-45 per kilogram, mixed sold at Rs70-80 per kg.

The price of onion A-grade reduced by Rs20 per kg, fixed at Rs144-150 per kg, sold at Rs180 per kg, B-grade by Rs10 per kg, fixed at Rs125-130 per kg, sold at Rs150-160 per kg, and C-grade fixed at Rs105-110 per kg, sold at Rs130 per kg.

The price of Spinach farm reduced by Rs3 per kg, fixed at Rs47-50, sold at Rs70-80 per kg, spinach local was fixed at Rs53-55 per kg, sold at Rs100 per kg.

Zucchini farm declined by Rs10 per kg, fixed at Rs70-74 per kg, sold at Rs120-140 per kg, and Zucchini long gained by Rs4 per kg, fixed at Rs70-74 per kg, sold at Rs100-120 per kg. The price of lemon China reduced by Rs8 per kg, fixed at Rs48-50 per kg, sold at Rs100-160 per kg. Carrot Chinese declined by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs175-180 per kg, sold at Rs280-300 per kg, carrot by Rs17 per kg, local unchanged at Rs45-47 per kg, sold at Rs50-60 per kg.

Turnip was reduced by Rs18 per kg, fixed at Rs43-45 per kg, sold at Rs60-80 per kg. Fenugreek (Methi) also declined by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs90-95 per kg, sold at Rs160 per kg. Pea price reduced by Rs25 per kg, fixed at Rs130-135 per kg, sold at Rs150-160 per kg.

Beans price was not issued, sold at Rs400 per kg. Radish price increased by Rs5 per kg, fixed at Rs28-30 per kg, sold at Rs40-50 per kg. Mustard leaves fixed at Rs43-45 per kg, sold at Rs50-60 per kg. The price of different variety of apples was fixed at Rs60-265 per kg, sold at Rs180-450 per kg.

The price of Banana A-category gained by Rs10 per dozen, fixed at Rs130-135 per dozen, sold at Rs150-160 per dozen, and B-category fixed at Rs90-95 per dozen, sold at Rs120-130 per dozen, and C-category fixed at Rs65-70 per dozen, sold at Rs80-100 per dozen. Pomegranate danaydar fixed at Rs345-360 per kg, sold at Rs400 per kg, Pomegranate khandahri fixed at Rs275-285 per kg, sold at Rs250-400 per kg, Pomegranate bedana price increased by Rs20 per kg, fixed at Rs580-600 per kg, sold at Rs700-1,000. Guava was fixed at Rs68-140 per kg, sold at Rs130-250 per kg. Musami price increased by Rs25 per dozen, fixed at Rs105-110 per dozen, sold at Rs180-200 per dozen. Grapefruit was fixed at Rs17-18 per piece, sold at Rs25-30 per piece. Fruiter price increased by Rs10 per dozen, fixed at Rs90-135 per dozen, sold at Rs180-250 per dozen. Citrus fruit price increased by Rs5 per dozen, fixed at Rs70-115 per dozen, sold at Rs180-250 per dozen.
