Fifteen Sindh police officers leave for seminar in China

Sindh caretaker chief minister Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqar has granted permission to 15 officers of the provincial police department to attend a seminar at the Shanghai Police Academy in China, and given additional charge to 15 other officers during the absence of their colleagues.

Officials said Baqar’s order issued on Saturday reads: “With the approval of the competent authority, i.e. chief minister Sindh, the police officers are hereby granted NOC and permission to attend the seminar at Shanghai Police Academy, China, scheduled to be held from December 10, 2023, to December 23, 2023, subject to the conditions that the Government of Sindh will not bear any financial expenditure to be incurred on the said visit, and that their names do not exist on the exit control list and they are not required by any court of law.”

The officers allowed to attend the seminar include DIG Special Branch, Sindh, Karachi, Zulfiqar Ali Larik; DIG Traffic, Hyderabad, Fida Hussain Mastoi; DIG Headquarters, CPO, Sindh, Karachi, Muhammad Zubair Dreshak; DIG Training, Sindh, Karachi, Faizullah Korejo; Commandant SSU, Karachi, SSP Dr Farrukh Ali; and AIG Operation, CPO, Sindh, Karachi, SSP Sheeraz Nazeer.

They also include SSP Shad Ibne Masih, AIG Establishment II, CPO, Sindh, Karachi; SSP Ghulam Sarwar Bhayo, SSP Crowd Management Unit, Baldia Base, RRF, Karachi; SSP Adeel Hussain Chandio, AIG Finance, CPO, Sindh, Karachi; SSP Dr Farrukh Raza, SP Investigation-I, District South, South Range, Karachi; and SSP Asif Ahmed Bughio, SP Special Branch, Hyderabad.

The other officers are SSP Khawar Akbar Shaikh, AIG Logistics, CPO, Sindh, Karachi; SP Fida Hussain Shah, SSP CTD Investigation, Karachi; SP Saad Arshad, SP Investigation, District West, West Range, Karachi, (now SP SSU); and DSP Mohammad Faheem Khan, DSP Admin, DIG Training Office, Karachi.

The following police officers are hereby allowed to hold charge of the posts, as mentioned against each officer, in addition to their own duties, during the seminar to be attended by the aforementioned officers in China.

DIG Asif Aijaz Shaikh, DIG CTD, Sindh, is given the additional charge of the post of DIG Special Branch, Sindh, Karachi; and DIG Tariq Razzak Dharejo of Hyderabad Range is given the additional charge of DIG Traffic, Hyderabad.

DIG Syed Pir Muhammad Shah, DIG Establishment, CPO, Sindh, Karachi, is given the additional charge of DIG Headquarters, CPO Sindh, Karachi; and DIG Younis Chandio, DIG IT, CPO, Sindh, is given the additional charge of DIG Training, Sindh, Karachi.

Meanwhile, the Karachi Range has transferred 10 SHOs of the city police over poor performance, and posted new officers in their places. Inspector Shahzad Ilyas has been posted as SHO Soldier Bazaar, Rao Rafique as SHO Zaman Town, Sajid Dharejo as SHO Chakiwara, Rao Shabbir as SHO Kalri, and Inam Junejo as SHO Manghopir.

Other officers are Farasat Shah as SHO Malir City, Majid Alvi as SHO Gadap, Waseem Anees as SHO Model Colony, Shahab Akbar Kalachi as SHO Landhi, and Amin Solangi as SHO Korangi.
