TDAP secretary to be transferred

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has decided to remove Secretary Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) Farid Iqbal Qureshi from the post.

According to sources, the Establishment Division has sent the summary to the federal cabinet for the transfer of Farid Iqbal Qureshi.

The cabinet has been requested to return Farid Iqbal Qureshi’s services to his department. After the approval of cabinet, the services of Farid Iqbal Qureshi will be returned to FBR by issuing an official notification from the Establishment Division. It should be noted that Farid Iqbal Qureshi of Pakistan Customs Service Grade 21 has been as Secretary in Trade Development Authority of Pakistan on deputation from 23 December 2022. Meanwhile, various officers were appointed and transferred in the federal bureaucracy, on Friday.

Syed Mubashir Tauqeer Shah, a grade-21 officer of the Information Group, pending appointment, has been appointed additional secretary, Ministry of Information. The appointment has been made on deputation for three years. According to sources, it has been decided to give additional charge of MD PTV to Additional Secretary Mubashir Tauqeer. The post of MD PTV was vacant since the transfer of former information secretary Zahoor Ahmed. Meanwhile, Pakistan Administrative Service grade-20 OSD [officer on special duty] Establishment Division, Syed Hasan Naqvi, has been posted as additional secretary Power Division under Section 10 of the Civil Servants Act 1973. Deputy Secretary Finance Division Jan Bahadur has been transferred as deputy secretary, Ministry of Religious Affairs. Shipping Master, Government Shipping Office Karachi, Abdul Waheed Memon, has been transferred as deputy secretary Establishment Division, while the services of deputy secretary Establishment Division Shahbaz Mustafa have been transferred to the NDMA Islamabad. The services of Inland Revenue Service grade-18 Saqiba Manan have been entrusted to Public Primary Health Initiative, Sindh government, on deputation.

Furthermore, Imtiaz Asghar, deputy secretary Defence Production Division, and Section Officer Defence Production Division Muhammad Awais Tariq have been made OSDs. The Establishment Division has issued official notifications for the appointments and transfers.
