The people of Lahore are dealing with a severe smog crisis which has helped make Lahore one of the most polluted cities in the world. Industrial and vehicular emissions and the burning of agricultural waste appear to be the leading causes behind the smog.
While the steps taken by the Punjab government to reduce the smog and protect people have been somewhat effective, more needs to be done in order to tackle the smog problem on a permanent basis.
