Health project employees seek job regularisation
MIRANSHAH: The All Employees Health Project Workers on Monday staged a protest camp outside the office of the District Health Officer to demand the release of their salaries.
The protesters said that they were performing duty regularly, but had not received salaries for the last 16 months.Chanting slogans against the government, the Health employees said that they had been waiting for regularisation for the last two years.
They said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly had passed a bill, which was also signed by the government to regularise their services, but they were still facing problems.The employees said the Health Department was dragging its feet to regularise their services.The protesters warned of staging a protest outside the secretary Health office in Peshawar if their demands were not met.
