LANDIKOTAL: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders on Monday said that
unemployment and illiteracy were the root cause of terrorism, which has claimed thousands of lives of innocent people.
Speaking at a ceremony held in honour of Shah Hussain Afridi, who quit the Awami National Party and announced joining the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in Sadokhel area of Landikotal, Member National Assembly Qaisar Jamal and Member Provincial Assembly Shaukat Yousafzai and others said peace and prosperity could not be brought back without providing jobs to the youth of tribal areas.
Qaisar Jamal said the tribespeople had rendered sacrifices for the sake of Pakistan. He asked the Landikotal residents to raise voice for their rights as it was the prime obligation of the civil servant to ensure service delivery without any fear and favour.
Shaukat Yousafzai said that Fata had been considered as buffer zone during the last 68 years. He said the political leaders of yester years were not interested to bring the tribal belt into national mainstream, which has now created a vacuum. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders asked the federal government to take all the tribal people onboard before deciding their fate.
