They say that a picture is worth a thousand words… it tells us a story. It not only captures moments in life but immortalises them. Photography changed history. It changed events and how people reacted to them. It changed how history itself was made, recorded, stored, and retrieved. And gradually, it changed our vision of the world. Photography is now considered as one of the most revolutionary additions to the advancement of human artistic expression.

And like for any art, we need the tools to create it. Recently, Nikon launched a mirrorless camera, Z9, in Karachi. The launch event was well-attended by media personnel, professional photographers and videographers. The evening kicked off with a red carpet and then, the host of the evening, Fatima Zara Malik introduced the key management of the company present in Pakistan. The welcome speech was given by one of the Directors of Camtronx/Nikon Pakistan, Noraiz Nasir who stated, “The Z9, with specs clearly designed to meet the needs and standards of professional video production studios, has been launched with an impressive set of features.” He also shared a product video which highlighted the remarkable aspects of the camera.

Regional Manager Sales & Marketing in Middle-East, Fardan Arif then briefed the audience about Z9 in Pakistan, “We are constantly working on improving the videography and photography standards in our country, and their performance in our digital world, by launching new products that provide our customers with greater value-addition.”

Photographer Kashif Qadri then shared a detailed presentation on its features including that it has the world’s best AutoFocus scene detection system and best-in-class 8K video resolution and internal recording.

The well-known photographer of Pakistan, Tapu Javeri, next awed the guests with his own Fashion photography experiences with the Z series. Syed Zubair Qutab, marketing manager of the company, introduced a membership programme initiated by Nikon School in Karachi. “We are giving our loyal customers a great new opportunity. On every purchase of the Z9, we are offering a membership card with amazing benefits like free educational sessions, video tours to breath-taking locations, photo walks and more.”

Bringing the briefing to a close, Nial Nasir, one of the Directors in Pakistan, said, “We have always dedicated ourselves to promoting videography and photography and young talent in Pakistan and have strived to portray a positive image of our nation through photography and videography culture.”
