Young and talented, Asim Battal has been in the showbiz since three years. He made his presence felt in serials like ‘Bechari Urdu’ and ‘Mohabbat Dard Bunti Hai’ by his powerful acting skills. By profession Battal is a dentist who moved to Karachi some 14 years back. He never planned to become an actor but decided to try his luck in acting after watching ‘Bombay Dreams’ which awakened his hidden talent of acting in him. According to Battal, there was no backing and he really worked hard to make his entry in the showbiz world. “I gave a lot of auditions and kept on trying till I started getting roles in serials like ‘Bechari Urdu’ and ‘Mohabbat Dard Bunti Hai’,” shares Battal. So far Battal has done one drama serial, one soap and a lot of theatre dramas. “The best part of being a theatre actor is that you get to know people’s response then and there,” observes Battal. His good looks also helped him to do TVCs for brands like Lays, Coca Cola, Q Mobile and Zong.
