Are you a makeup addict? When we talk about beauty products the few names that pop in our mind is L’Oreal, Maybelline, Mac, Rimmel, Bourjois and the list goes on and on. But what sets Maybelline apart from all the makeup brands is that it focuses on empowering women to make a statement, explore new looks and flaunt their own creativity and individuality. Keeping this in mind, Maybelline New York celebrated the Maker Women Movement and their anthem ‘Humsa Ho Tou Samnay Aye’ recently. The brand held a soiree in Karachi to celebrate women who make it happen, which was hosted by the brand’s spokesperson, Ayesha Omar.

But what is a ‘Maker Woman’? She is someone who wakes up every morning and walks out into the world like it is her own. She owns it. She faces challenges by standing up and making her voice heard. She embraces life and is proud of her individuality. She is bold, fierce and unstoppable. Above all, she believes in her ability to ‘Make It Happen’. She is a movement. The Maker Woman is all around you. She is the woman juggling deadlines at work, the woman turning her house into a home, the woman that is journeying her world, evolving within and without. She is the woman staring right back at you in the mirror. That Maker Woman is YOU! Moreover, the event included a special screening of the anthem and a live musical performance by vocalist Alicia Dias. The anthem celebrates women and the strength that they stand for. The video features actor and the brand’s ambassador Ayesha Omar, musician Zoe Viccaji, artist Naveen Shakil, MMA fighter Sarah Tareen, story teller Alina Ehtesham and unfolds against the soulful voice of maestro Ali Sethi.

Coming back to the event, many celebrities were spotted at the occasion including Mansha Pasha, Hira Tareen, Nadia Hussain, Zhalay Sarhadi, Tapu Javeri, Adeel Hussain, Saima Rashid Bargfrede, Adnan Pardesy, Areeba Habib, Junaid Khan, Momal Sheikh and many more. However, the highlight of the event was live performance by Alicia Dias where she sang some classic songs along with tunes like ‘Despacito’ and ‘Shape of you’ among others. Everyone was mesmerized by her powerful voice and danced the night away.

Kudos to the entire team for making it happen!
