There was a time when the cinema houses played only Indian and Hollywood movies because Pakistani cinema was producing next to nothing. However, things have changed for the better and there seems to be a movie launch every few months now. Currently the audiences are loving comedies, hence, we see more producers churning out money for comedy flicks. Joining the bandwagon of romantic comedies is the upcoming film ‘Lahore Se Aagey’. The movie is a sequel of the 2015 film, ‘Karachi Se Lahore’. But wait, what is that one thing we Pakistanis love apart from comedies? You guessed it right! We love singing, dancing and movie songs, and luckily this movie has all that! To give the audience a taste of the film’s music, an event was recently held in a leading hotel in Karachi, in which the album of ‘Lahore Se Aagey’ was also launched. The event had performances by Shiraz Uppal, Aima Baig and Jabbar Abbas, who went all of out to showcase their beautiful vocals and keep alive the much needed entertainment.

The music album includes five tracks, out of which four have been composed by Shiraz Uppal - while ‘Tere Bina’, sung by Aashir Wajahat, is composed by Syed Adeel. The main vocals of the album are by Aima Baig, who has sung, ‘Kalabaaz’ (with Jabbar Abbas), ‘Be Fikriyan’ and ‘Ehl-e-Dil’, while ‘Zara Si Laga Lo’ has been sung by Shiraz Uppal himself. The film is directed and produced by Wajahat Rauf, written by Yasir Hussain and stars Saba Qamar and Yasir Hussain. It also includes Agha Farhatullah, Mubashir Malik, Rubina Ashraf and Behroze Sabzwari.

Regarding the music of the movie, the producer and director, Wajahat Rauf said, “The entire team has put their heart and soul in putting together the music album and now we just hope these songs are imprinted in the hearts of listeners.” The entire cast of ‘Lahore Se Aagey’ danced on a few songs and put the stage on fire. We wish the director and its cast good luck!
