Recently, designer Minhal Aly of 'Silver Linings' launched her first flagship store in D.H.A Phase 6, Karachi.
The store was inaugurated by parliamentarian, anthropologist, PhD Scholar Dr. Nafisa Shah. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was followed by a glitzy fashion presentation in which renowned models like Nadia Hussain, Rubab Masood and Sunita Marshall, dressed up in formal and bridal outfits walked the ramp displaying the latest collection by the designer. The hair and make-up for the event was done by Nadia Hussain Salon. The event organized by Tehmina Khaled of Take II was well-attended by socialites, media and fashion personalities.
The store offers a complete range of women's wear from formal to bridal outfits. The store is divided in two floors - that ground floor has an exclusive variety of heavy exquisite jewellery and dresses whereas a bridal studio is situated at mezzanine floor. The brand corresponds with modern women of today who are bold and confident yet feminine.
The dentist turned designer has been in this business for 4 years and has carved a niche for herself with her unique work in the fashion world. Minhal has showcased her collection in leading fashion weeks internationally and locally.
At the event Minhal said, "It has been our long due dream to open a retail outlet and we really want it to be successful. With the launch of this outlet we are ready to compete with big brands out there."
