Dear Editor,
I have been waiting for the new episode of The Eid engagement, but it seems to me that Iqra Asad is still on her Eid holidays. The story has now become very interesting, and the pace has picked up, too. I have started liking Ray a lot. He is a good son and brother. But, Ed, it’s Hina’s behaviour that is mind-boggling. Sameer is quite nice with her and Hina still wants to parse his personality. Girls can be so unreasonable! Other than that the story is going fine.

I haven’t come across The Green Room for some time now. Discontinued? Again? I don’t understand the logic behind this as entertainment is the integral part of any magazine, especially a magazine for the youth. You have also discontinued movie reviews, and filled the magazine with serious stuff. Please lighten it up.

Hi Ed,
The cover story ‘Arts Council – a haven for budding artists’ by Tooba Ghani, in the issue of 8 July was nice, and I loved the interview of Shahid Rassam; he clearly knew what he was talking about. I think if drawing and painting as subjects are given importance by parents and school it would be of great help to our budding artists. In my school, marks are given on drawing but the art teacher is not good and doesn’t teach us anything. We need good teachers at junior school level. Drawing skills can be nurtured and even those who are actually bad can be taught to draw decently. I had the good fortune of having a great tuition teacher who worked very hard with me and, thanks to him, I was able to get good marks in my drawing exam.
