We really need to hear from our youth. There is a lot we can learn from our youth....

Feedback

Dear Editor,

I am a regular reader of Us magazine and I love to read all the articles but my favourite page is "Bits 'N' Pieces". It is not only entertaining but also very informative to read. However, it is limited to one page only. I suggest you to extend the content of "Bits 'N' Pieces" to two to three pages. Thank you.

Hey Ed,

Us is one of my favourite publications. Ed, I would really like to see young people writing on current topics. What I have noticed is there are hardly any articles where I could read about youth’s point of view on the things that are happening around us. For example, what young people think about the freedom of Palestinian people; or if the young people think sex education is important; or how social media is being affected by the influencer culture.

We really need to hear from our youth. There is a lot we can learn from our youth.

Please Ed, encourage readers to write on these topics as well.

Dear Editor,

We want to read more fiction in Us magazine. “Eid engagement” stories by Iqra Asad are always fun to read. They are written simply and clearly. I am also inspired; such characters exist around us and we can use them as characters in our stories. I also want to write such stories. There are so many people around me who are funny and articulate. I will use them as inspiration for my story.

Thank you Us for publishing reader-friendly stories!

Reflection

Narrated Abu Huraira (RA)

“While the Prophet (S.A.W) was saying something in a gathering, a Bedouin came and asked him, When would the hour (Doomsday) take place? Allah’s Apostle continued his talk, so some people said that Allah’s Apostle had heard the question, but did not like what that Bedouin had asked. Some of them said that Allah’s Apostle had not heard it. When the Prophet (S.A.W) finished his speech, he said, Where is the questioner, who inquired about the hour (Doomsday)? The Bedouin said, When the power or authority comes in the hands of unfit persons, then wait for the Hour (Doomsday.)
