Feedback

Dear Ed,

Hackschool Project: Results and revenge, by Iqra Asad was hilarious this time. Jasir has become my favourite of the three siblings. He is a go-getter and resourceful. He may not be an excellent student, but it is guys like him who are more likely to succeed in life than the students who refuse to take their noses out of their books. May be this is what the writer wishes us to understand. Good work, Iqra Asad.

Hello Editor,

“The ungodly genes” by Dr Javeria Hayat Khan was a great read! I have no idea how cloning works, but the plot piqued my interest. Sandy and Kevin are interesting characters; can’t wait to find out what happens next!

Happenings

National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage organises a week-long event every year that portrays culture and traditions of all the provinces of Pakistan.

One gets to experience the whole country in one place and that makes it the best place to visit. It’s a great way to engage with foreign and local tourists. You can find traditional crafts like Sindhi ajrak, Kashmiri shawls, Balochi jackets, fur caps from Gilgit Baltistan, and floral dresses from Punjab crafts at the festival. Pakistan has a rich history of music, folk dances, regional songs, and melodies which was also enjoyed by the public.

Lok Mela is a platform for talented and creative people to earn and promote their crafts at the same time.

Reflection

Narrated by Abu Huraira (R.A)

Allah’s Apostle (S.A.W) entered the mosque and a person followed him. The man prayed and went to the Prophet and greeted him. The Prophet returned the greeting and said to him, “Go back and pray, for you have not prayed.” The man went back prayed in the same way as before, returned and greeted the Prophet who said, “Go back and pray, for you have not prayed.” This happened thrice. The man said, “By Him Who sent you with the Truth, I cannot offer the prayer in a better way than this. Please, teach me how to pray.” The Prophet said, “When you stand for Prayer say Takbir and then recite from the Holy Qur’an (of what you know by heart) and then bow till you feel at ease. Then raise your head and stand up straight, then prostrate till you feel at ease during your prostration, then sit with calmness till you feel at ease (do not hurry) and do the same in all your prayers. “
