Hello Editor,

I really liked the idea of “monthly episode” of Hackschool project. Bad News Day (April 7) was an amusing episode! And after reading “The undercover dropout and TV star” (May 19), I just can’t wait to read the third episode.

What struck me most was the characters in the story; I found them funny and relatable. Inaya, Leena, Jasir and Mr. Moin are like my family members. And I am sure everybody could relate to what is happening at Mr. Moin’s house. Like Inaya, we all have told lies to our parents to save our good image, and like Jasir, we all have enjoyed secret adventures after school. Can’t wait to see how Jasir’s parents deal with him after learning about his hush-hush activity.

Hi Editor,

How can we access the first part of the story “Hackschool project”? Or if you could tell the date on which it was published.

Salam Ed,

I would agree with Manal Aman’s opinion on Netflix series “13 reason why”. Surely, watching a girl commit suicide will make the audience realize how painful bullying could be for teenagers. Educational institutes, parents and lawmakers should take this more seriously and do something that could help deal with issues common to all young adults. No matter where you are, what culture you live in, you have to face some sort of bullying. After school and university, people are bullied at workplaces as well.

Many would agree with me if I say even khandans (clan) have bullies who are after someone’s reputation; they spread gossips and are ready to torment others in all possible ways. “13 reasons why” is for all the bullies who make others’ life miserable.

Hello Eddy,

I loved the illustrations by Abdul Rahim Ashraf! It’s great that he used pop-up art for making illustrations. Actually, it reminded me of the comics I used to read in school; I was wondering if you guys could publish comic stories that are relevant to youth.

Hello Editor,

Good poetry always touches the heart. Us poetry competition ‘17 winners did an amazing job! Poems were witty and eloquent.

What I liked, more especially, was that the poets experimented with their style. I believe literary conventions affect their expression. Runaway by Uzma Zafar really inspired me; even without any specific rhyming scheme, the poem really stood out.

A request: please publish ‘Poets’ Corner’ section on a regular basis.

Narrated by Aisha (R.A)

The people of Quraish worried about the lady from Bani Makhzum who had committed theft. They asked, “Who will intercede for her with Allah’s Apostle (S.A.W)?” Some said, “No one dare to do so except Usama bin Zaid the beloved one to Allah’s Apostle.” When Usama spoke about that to Allah’s Apostle, Allah’s Apostle said (to him), “Do you try to intercede for somebody in a case connected with Allah’s Prescribed Punishments?” Then he got up and delivered a sermon saying, “What destroyed the nations preceding you, was that if a noble amongst them stole, they would forgive him, and if a poor person amongst them stole, they would inflict Allah’s Legal punishment on him. By Allah, if Fatima, the daughter of Muhammad stole, I would cut off her hand.”
