RECIPES
* 4 large potatoes
* Olive oil
* Salt
* Toppings of your choice (e.g., butter, sour cream, cheddar cheese, chives)
* Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
* Prepare the Potatoes: Scrub the potatoes thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt.
* Pat them dry with a clean towel.
* Poke Holes: Use a fork to poke several holes all over each potato. This allows steam to escape during baking and prevents the potatoes from bursting.
* Coat with Olive Oil and Salt: Rub each potato with a little olive oil, then sprinkle them generously with salt. This helps to season the skin and enhances the flavor.
* Bake: Place the potatoes directly on the oven rack or on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for about 50-60 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the skins are crisp.
* Check for Doneness: To check if the potatoes are done, insert a fork into the center of each potato. If it goes in easily with little resistance, they’re ready.
* Serve: Once the potatoes are done, carefully remove them from the oven. Use a sharp knife to make a lengthwise slit on the top of each potato, then gently press the ends towards the center to open them up. Fluff the insides with a fork, then add your favorite toppings such as butter, sour cream, grated cheddar cheese, chives, bacon bits, or any other toppings you prefer.
* Serve the baked potatoes hot and enjoy!
