Dear Editor,

A night on the town by Sameen Amer (19 May) was a most interesting read, and I loved it because as a Lahori I could understand and appreciate the nuances of the article. Ed, I enjoy Sameen Amer’s ‘The Green Room’. She is a gifted writer and manages to give a lot of information in a very small space, but her write-up was way too good.

Dear Ed,

The talent of our poets whose poems are showcased in ‘Poets’ Corner’ never ceases to amaze me. I loved the poems Feral by Hanya Zafar Barry in the issue of 19 May and Freedom by Hijab-un-Nisa Niaz in the issue of 26 May. Great job, girls!

Ed, Asad Marwat, in his article Lost amidst chaos, a brief tale of our crumbling historical sites (26 May), highlighted a very serious issue. In Karachi, I see so many old buildings that are being neglected. These old buildings should be taken care of by the concerned department of the provincial government. We should protect our history for without that there is no future.

Dear Ed,

I am an old reader, but I follow Us magazine regularly. I really like ‘Poets’ Corner’ and I feel that most of the poets are very mature and write on serious issues also. I also enjoy ‘Did you know’ segment as it increases my knowledge. Keep up the good work.
