Legendary actor, Michael Caine and director Christopher Nolan’s on-and-off screen friendship is no secret in Hollywood and beyond. The 82-year-old actor has starred in at least six Nolan films including his last, Interstellar.

So its hardly surprising that Michael Caine has some information on Nolan’s forthcoming film, which, like all of his films, is hidden from the spotlight until Nolan decides otherwise.

“He’s got a new movie,” said Michael Caine, to The Hollywood Reporter. “I had dinner with him last night... and he’s all secretive, and he never told me a thing. I don’t know if there’s a role. He won’t tell me.”

For fans of Nolan, this should come as good news, especially after the fact that Nolan’s breakthrough film, Memento, is getting a remake, just 15 years after its release.

According to THR, AMBI Pictures, run by Andrea Iervolino and Monika Bacardi, has announced it will finance and produce the remake.

In a statement, Bacardi said, “Memento is a masterpiece that leaves audiences guessing not just throughout the film, but long after as well, which is a testament to its daring approach. We intend to stay true to Christopher Nolan’s vision and deliver a memorable movie that is every bit as edgy, iconic and award-worthy as the original. It’s a big responsibility to deliver something that lives up to the mastery of the original, but we are extremely excited and motivated to bring this puzzle back to life and back into the minds of moviegoers.”

Coming back to Nolan, Michael revealed that while the director is working on a film, he isn’t sharing any details.

“That’s the first thing I found out about Chris,” Michael told THR. “He is the most secretive person on earth. I know him so well - I had dinner sitting next to him, last night, for three hours. And I know nothing about his next project.’”
