Hit series Blindspot is talk of the town these days and that’s not just because of the unique story line, but because of its main star Jaimie Alexander’s featured tattoos. A recap for the uninitiated: Alexander plays a Jane Doe who wakes up naked in a duffel bag left in Times Square with no memory of who she is or how she got there. Her only clues to her identity are the hundreds of mysterious tattoos that cover almost every inch of her skin. We do think tattoos are cool, especially when inked on someone as hip and gorgeous as JA but the star believes the fake tattoos covering her body all day are poisonous and making her sick, according to Page Six.
Production was halted last week with the firing of four makeup artists who were spending seven hours each day applying Alexander’s temporary ink. You read it right; it takes seven hours to ink her body because obviously, they all have to be exactly the same each time. And fortunately, or rather unfortunately for the actress, NBC has already renewed the drama for Season 2, which means many more painful hours being inked. Her ordeal isn’t over just as yet so we can only hope that the ink being used is scrutinized and replaced.
