Shehla Chatoor, who is celebrating 20 years in fashion this year, has decided to step out of her exclusive atelier and cater to the mass market. She has signed up with the Karachi-based Shariq Textiles and will be coming out with her very first lawn collection for Summer 2016. While Shehla is keeping details of the collection under wraps right now, it goes without saying that her high-end aesthetic will filter into lawn and add immense value to the market. We hope to see prints as exotic as the Samsara or Misaki, her acclaimed luxury collections.

Meanwhile, it’s countdown to fashion week for the designer. Shehla will be showcasing at the upcoming Fashion Pakistan Week and she will, in fact, be opening the event on November 28.
“I’ve been designing bridals for twenty years but have never put them on the ramp,” she said while speaking to Instep. “I have shown bits and pieces of wedding and trousseau wear but this will be my first full bridal collection. It ranges from classic to edgy and caters to everyone.”
The collection will also feature a new range of semi precious jewellery by the designer, who has been designing her own line of accessories for over a year now.
