Takeaways from the after parties

Whether it’s the Golden Globes, Netflix or the upcoming Oscars, the after parties lead to some of the best moments. Instep tracks the stars.

From the seven after parties that the star-studded crowd was given the option of attending on the night of the Globes, Netflix’s event was undeniably the most happening place to be that night. The streaming service had thought of almost everything. In addition to a glam station complete with make-up artists at the ready for touch-ups, there was a “shoe valet” giving women a reprieve from their stilettos in exchange for comfy flats.

The most iconic moment of the night? ’90s bombshells Jennifer Aniston and Sandra Bullock posed for a photo with an adorable embrace; the ageless beauties looked simply stunning in their matching strapless black and yellow gowns. Their subtle makeup, including a touch of light mascara and some bold blush had their skin glowing from miles away.

However, the InStyle and Warner Bros deserve equal praise as its gathering had A-listers like Hailey Bieber eagerly flocking in; regardless of whether or not they even showed up to the main event. Fit for an LA bash, Paris Hilton turned up in a see-through glittering gown and proceeded to drop it like it’s hot with Jasmine Sanders. Sacha Baron Cohen appeared deep in conversation with the well-accessorized Jason Momoa while Joaquin Phoenix, still coming down from his big win, spent the night beside Joker director Todd Phillips. He did, however, reunite with his Walk the Line co-star Reese Witherspoon at the Globes while at the red carpet after more than a decade as his fiancée Rooney Mara looked on. Another favouriteof the night was Big Little Lies actress Zoe Kravitz cozying up with her glamorous co-star Shailene Woodley. Kravitz, wearing a Saint Laurent polka-dotted gown. She looked absolutely breathtaking with her daring red lip and short cut. Woodley wore a dark-blue custom Balmain dress with Bvlgari jewels and a smoky eye. The duo had to be among the best dressed women of the night.
