Actor and director Yasir Nawaz’s latest cinematic outing, Wrong No. 2, which features Sami Khan and Neelam Munir in lead roles, released across Pakistan on Eid ul Fitr 2019. The good news is that the romantic comedy, which is in its 15th week and is still showing in select cinemas, has maintained good numbers at the local box office.
According to Entertainment Pakistan, Wrong No. 2 has collected a little over PKR 201 million in 14 weeks. This is the third Pakistani film of 2019 that has hit the 200-million mark, aside from Mahira Khan and Bilal Ashraf starrer Superstar and Asim Raza’s Parey Hut Love.
Wrong No. 2 is currently the 5th highest grossing film of the 2019; it collected PKR 131 million in its first week, followed by PKR 28.5 million and PKR 15.5 million in the second and third week, respectively. The film has collected a total of PKR 201.5 million till now.In addition to Sami Khan and Neelam Munir, the film features Jawed Sheikh, Mehmood Aslam, Nayyar Ejaz and Danish Nawaz in key roles.
Despite release of multiple Pakistani films after Wrong No. 2, it is a good sign that the film is still doing well in cinemas across Pakistan. With a good past record at the box office, Yasir Nawaz is all set for his next, tilted Zubaida Mard Ban that is said to feature Mawra Hocane in a lead role.
