Former Vital Signs guitarist Rizwan ul Haq, who featured on at least two of the pioneering band’s albums and some of the accompanying videos, is back in the spotlight and reinventing himself along the way as a musician.

He’s back with a band called RockLite, an Islamabad-based music group that contains veterans like Allan Smith and bassist Imran Hanan, apart from Haq, and newer names like Bilal Ashraf and Saakin’s (brothers) Varqa Faraid and Parham Faraid.

Having released their debut single, a retro catchy pop song called ‘Kon Hai Woh’ with an exciting music video directed by Zeeshan Parwez, Haq has confirmed to Instep that RockLite will release their new album this year, in the form of singles of course. Backing up the claim, Haq went on to say that their second single, cheekily titled ‘Ghussay Vich’ is being directed by Ali Sattar, who also directed Saakin’s breathtaking music video ‘Saki-e-Bewafa’. Expect nothing short of a short-film as far as ‘Ghussay Vich’ is concerned.

“The music video for ‘Ghussay Vich’ will release on April 6th, with Ali Sattar directing, who also directed ‘Saki-e-Bewafa’. The teaser will release on March 30th,” confirmed Haq to Instep.

“In a way, in this day and age, I’ve noticed people release singles and it becomes an album,” noted Haq about changing times.

The third video is being directed by Zeeshan Parwez and RockLite will release their tracks, in all probability, as singles/ music videos.”
