While we are anxiously awaiting the release of the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Sanju, a biopic on Bollywood’s controversial actor Sanjay Dutt, the actor recently signed his next film. Directed by Luv Ranjan of Pyaar Ka Punchnama fame, the upcoming film features Ranbir alongside Ajay Devgn. The two will be working together for the second time as they shared the screen in Prakash Jha’s Raajneeti (2010).
“I have immense respect for Ajay sir and I’m excited about sharing the screen with him again,” Ranbir told Times of India. “His body of work is inspiring. Luv and I have wanted to work with each other for some time now. I am sure this film will be a perfect start to our association.”
Speaking of Ranbir, who will also be seen in YRF’s Shamshera alongside Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgn shared, “Ranbir is an impeccable actor with a great ability to deliver nuanced performances. He is undeniably the most talented actor of his generation. I am looking forward to collaborating with him.”
Coming to the director, Luv Ranjan is riding high on the success of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety that only did wonders on the Indian box office, crossing the 100-crore mark, but also generated high numbers at the local box office. This will be the first time Ranjan’s film will feature A-list Bollywood actors while the film is expected to release next year.
