Azfar Jafri’s next after Parchi, is an air force film called Sherdil and features an ensemble cast including Armeena Khan, Mikaal Zulfiqar, Hassan Niazi and model turned actor Sabeeka Imam. The film’s shooting, having taken place in Pakistan and Dubai recently, has come to an end. Leading lady of the film, Armeena posted a sweet note of thanks for her co-stars in an Instagram post.
“Finally, a big thank you to the cast and crew of Sherdil,” she began. “Thank you Hassan Niazi and Sabeeka Imam for keeping me sane with all those wonderful get together(s) at 2am, talking about anything and everything. Thank you Mikaal Zulfiqar for your company and all the coffees, definitely much needed. My knight in shining armour and an air force uniform; I’m sure you will kill this.”
She went on to thank and praise other cast and crew members who were integral to the film and addressed director Azfar Jafri in another post.
“We started our journey together in Janaan and I learnt the meaning of patience and perseverance from you, honestly and truly. You make magic happen for cinema with literally nothing (sometimes) and that makes you one class act. You have my unconditional support and respect, our captain of the ship. Everyone loves you and you command loyalty like no other on set. You inspire me. Here’s hoping that Sherdil will be one more feather in your cap of achievements.”
Sherdil is expected to release later this year.
