It’s refreshing to see Ali Noor mixing things up and trying out new ventures, particularly since he’s been around for some time and one always expects an artist of his caliber to evolve and keep up with the times.

It’s refreshing to see Ali Noor mixing things up and trying out new ventures, particularly since he’s been around for some time and one always expects an artist of his caliber to evolve and keep up with the times.

Noor started off with a vlog, something most modern day artists in Pakistan haven’t really delved into yet, apart from maybe Mooroo. Through that vlog, he gave fans a chance to see him as he is and also provided an insight into his life.

Through those very vlogs, we have discovered that Noor is working on something new and is heading into unchartered territory, which is great. Noor will be trying his hand at ‘a capella’ (singing unaccompanied by instruments). In this venture, Noor has roped in a number of artists such as musical siblings Zoe and Rachel Viccaji, singer-songwriter Sara Haider as well as artists Saad Hayat and Ahsan Pervaiz. In the vlog, this motley crew of musicians can be seen working at Saad Hayat’s studio in Karachi.

2017 remains an important year for Noor; he has revived the BIY Music label and is also participating in the upcoming tenth season of Coke Studio.
