Despite DC Comics trying to build up Justice League and X-Men returing with a fourth film since it was rehashed, it’s Marvel that looks all set to conquer the superhero universe.
The arrival of Benedict Cumeberbatch, who made his debut as Doctor Strange in the Marvel film earlier this year, on the set of the upcoming film is therefore very significant.
Pictures of Benedict Cumberbatch, Robert Downey Jr, Mark Ruffalo and Benedict Wong have emerged online, leading to confirmation that Cumberbatch will indeed have a role to play in the movie.
Recovering from the events that unfolded in Captain America: Civil War, the film will see major roles played by the likes of Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Holland, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bethany, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper and Pom Klementieff while Josh Brolin will star as the all-powerful villain Thanos.
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, the film will be “the culmination of everything in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since Iron Man in 2008”. Watch out for this one will be special, a pop culture juggernaut like no other.
