There are a lot of unconfirmed details floating around regarding Bilal Lashari’s upcoming cinematic venture, Maula Jatt. However, that is not the official title of the film as it has not been announced yet. What is also confusing is the fact that the director took to Facebook recently to announce that the film was not a remake, or a sequel to the classic Punjabi film.
What we do know though is that it has an extremely glamourous star cast. After appearing in several Bollywood hits, Fawad Khan will be making an appearance on the Pakistani silver screen and will be playing the role of the protagonist. He will be joined by another big name in the industry: Hamza Ali Abbasi. It was rumoured that Mahira Khan and Humaima Malik would also be joining the Maula Jatt bandwagon and Mahira Khan’s entry in the film has finally been confirmed by the actress as well.
“I am doing Maula Jutt,” she shared. “I am totally onboard. It’s also totally out of my comfort zone so it’s a good challenge.”
The Ho Mann Jahaan star also revealed that she’s been preparing for the role by taking Punjabi classes. “I’m stressed out about the language and the body language,” she added.
