If you thought La La Land was the perfect musical, with the handsome Ryan Gosling and the graceful Emma Stone, then you should probably know about this other upcoming musical that will be starring two comic actors best known for their lack of political correctness on screen.

If you thought La La Land was the perfect musical, with the handsome Ryan Gosling and the graceful Emma Stone, then you should probably know about this other upcoming musical that will be starring two comic actors best known for their lack of political correctness on screen.

Hollywood’s favourite comedians Will Ferrell and Kristin Wiig will be joining their comic forces to help in producing a musical which will be based on the nonfiction book, Everything Is Coming Up Profits: The Golden  Age of Industrial Musicals.

Songwriters Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, who are probably best known for the Broadway musical version of Hairspray, are going to be writing the music. Marc Platt, the Wicked producer who is actually responsible for La La Land, a film that has proven itself to be a successful venture, judging by its box office numbers and numerous award nominations, is also attached to produce the project while Steven Levenson, a writer-producer on the Showtime period drama Masters of Sex, will be penning the script.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Everything Is Coming Up Profits by Steve Young and Sport Murphy focused on little seen but lavishly made musical shows that were made exclusively for blue chip corporations.
