Other rumours suggest that Karan Johar, who produced Kapoor & Sons and is also directing Fawad Khan alongside an A-list cast in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, is signing the actor for a third venture. And the latest story doing rounds is that Khan, who recently walked the ramp alongside Deepika Padukone during a fashion week in New Delhi, has been offered a role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati. The upcoming venture will also feature Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. Some stories say offers have made while others note that Khan has signed on the dotted line.
However, at this point, it’s all speculation. A source close to the actor confirmed to Instep that Khan hasn’t signed anything just yet. This means that for now he has three films in the bag. While Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is in the final round of shooting, the other two films, a biopic on Alamgir and Bilal Lashari’s Maula Jutt remake, are in pre-production stage.
Coming back to FK, the number of high profile projects he’s been linked to simply go to show his unprecedented popularity, not just with fans, but also with Bollywood bigwigs. The coming weeks will determine which of these many films Khan will actually sign.
