Aishwarya Rai fired back at David Letterman after his insulting question
David Letterman's chat with Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai is now making headlines
American television host David Letterman is no stranger to controversies as the writer and producer has often landed in hot water over his contentious remarks.
Amidst the resurfaced interview of the 73-year-old for which he is getting slammed over inappropriate behavior, his chat with Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai is now making headlines.
Letterman riled up Indian fans after he tried to poke fun at the actor and her husband Abhishek Bachchan for still living with his parents—a tradition not too uncommon in South Asia.
Letterman’s condescending question about whether or not she still lives with her parents and if this is common in India, received a befitting response from her.
“It’s fine to live with your parents, because It’s also common in India, we don’t have to take appointments from the parents to meet for dinner,” Aishwarya fired back.
Letterman’s patronizing question slighting Indian tradition was also heavily criticized on Twitter as many lashed out at him.
