Mehwish Hayat marked Pakistan Day with a touching photo of her receiving the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz award
Pakistani actress Mehwish Hayat celebrated Pakistan Day in a heartfelt post on Instagram.
The stunner shared a throwback photo to Pakistan Day in 2019 when she was awarded the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz for her contribution to art and cinema.
She penned a heartfelt note expressing her love and gratitude over being a citizen of Pakistan and vowed to continue to represent it through her work.
"23rd March is the day that we thank our forefathers for having the vision of creating a homeland for Muslims. We are so blessed to be able to call ourselves “Pakistani”," she wrote.
"This day will always have added poignancy for me . Cannot believe that it is already 2 years since I was bestowed with the Tamgha-e -Imtiaz for my “contribution to Art & Cinema”.I am aware of the responsibility that comes with this honour.I wear it with pride & will continue to represent my beautiful country on every platform IA."
