Meghan Markle, Jessica Mulroney’s friendship unstable long before white privilege scandal

Jessica Mulroney has been under hot water ever since her private threat to black influencer Sasha Exeter came out. With its release, a large amount of backlash and hate was flung onto the public figure. 

Not only were social media users enraged by the blatant use of white privilege amid protests for BLM, many companies even cut off professional ties with Mulroney, from the reality program I Do Redo to Good Morning America.

Soon enough Page Six jumped in with a source who claimed that Mulroney and Meghan Markle were already on thin ice long before the scandal came out. Multiple sources are also of the opinion that Mulroney was only maintaining a friendship with Meghan to “benefit” her career.

Not only that, Megan’s relationship with the royal family boosted Mulroney’s career tenfold, and even got her work offers from US outlets like Harper's Bazaar.

The source said, “I don’t know what the tipping point was, but Jess has been on the outs for some time. Their friendship is definitely not what it was. And really, how can you have such a close friendship when one person is basically making a career out of the friendship?”
