Indian police place Kashmiri leaders under house arrest
SRINAGAR: Authorities in Indian Occupied Kashmir have placed the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) President Shabbir Ahmad Shah and Jammu and Kashmir National Front (JKNF) Chairman Nayeem Ahmad Khan under house arrest in Srinagar.

SRINAGAR: Authorities in Indian Occupied Kashmir have placed the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) President Shabbir Ahmad Shah and Jammu and Kashmir National Front (JKNF) Chairman Nayeem Ahmad Khan under house arrest in Srinagar.
The authorities deployed Indian police personnel outside the residences of Shabbir Ahmad Shah and Nayeem Ahmad Khan asking them not to come out, Kashmir Media Service reported.
The spokesmen of DFP and JKNF told journalists the police did not reveal the reason for the house arrest of the two leaders. Shabbir Shah was to address a public gathering in Sopore town, the DFP spokesman added.
Pertinently the veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader Syed Ali Gilani is under continued house detention since May 2 this year.
