Former SSP Malir Rao Anwar was arrested on the Supreme Court orders on Thursday after he appeared before an apex court bench months after he was accused of killing Naqeebullah Mehsood in an alleged fake police encounter.
The former officer was latter shifed to Karachi via a private airline.
Sources say Anwar has been shifted to Malir Cantt Police Station.
They said during his journey, the encounter specialist was in a good mood and appeared confident.
He talked to his Dubai-based family members on telephone and informed them that he is fine.
Passengers on the flight were surprised to see the notorious cop among them, with some of them requesting for a selfie.
The officer, however, refused to pose for the selfies.
