LAHORE: Pakistan’s renowned actress Mahira Khan expressed desire to work in an Irani film during her appearance at the Faiz International Festival, held recently at Lahore.
When Sarmad Sultan Khoosat and Meera Hashmi, hosts of the interview at the festival, asked the ‘Verna’ star about her interest to work in any other foreign film in future, she expressed her intention to work for any Iranian film.
“I would love to work in an Iranian film. That could be hard because of the language but that is the most interesting aspect of it,” she admitted in the interview, adding that she would definitely love to give it a try someday.
Mahira who had worked in 'Bol', 'Bin Roye' and 'Ho Mann Jahan' before making her Bollywood debut with ‘Raees’ featuring alongside Shah Rukh Khan last year, has acted in Shoaib Mansoor's new film 'Verna'.
She has also worked in a number of tv drama serials including the most popular series 'Hamsafar'.
The movie, ‘Verna’, has been released this week and secured a Rs 30 million record business during first three days despite baffling controversies.
