DUBAI: Peshawar Zalmi defeated Quetta Gladiators by two wickets in the Pakistan Super League match on Saturday.
Star all-rounder Shahid Afridi led his team to victory with his 45 runs off 23 balls, smashing three sixes and and as many fours. Kamran Akmal’s 26 off 30 and Muhammad Hafeez’s 22 off 33 were other notable contribution for the Peshawar Zalmi.

Sent into bat, Quetta Gladiators were all out for 128 in exact 20 overs as their batsmen could not resist against accurate bowling from Peshawar Zalmi bowlers.
The main scorers were Kevin Pietersen (41), Rilee Rossouw (38) and Mohammad Nawaz (18) while no other batsman could get into the double figures.
Pietersen and Rossouw added 86 runs for the third wicket partnership.
Left-arm spinner Mohammad Asghar captured three wickets for 33 runs while pacers Wahab Riaz and Hassan Ali claimed two for 17 and 22, respectively.
Peshawar Zalmi made no change from the previous match while Quetta Gladiators made two changes, bringing in Umar Gul and Tymal Mills in place of Thisara Perera and Anwar Ali.
