Former Duke of York Andrew has made a big decision about his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson as he has officially surrendered Royal Lodge to the Crown Estate more than 50 years early on his lease.

Sarah and Andrew stayed at the Royal Lodge for years despite their divorce.

Princess Eugenie and Beatrice's mother once described her and Andrew as the 'happiest divorced couple in the world.'

However, Sarah is reportedly unwelcome at Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s new home on the Sandringham estate.

The Times claims Sarah and Andrew are no longer speaking, despite their previously close relationship.

The insider told the outlet, “The red setter, as she’s known, is not welcome at Marsh Farm. She’s persona non grata as far as Andrew is concerned.”

The report further says Andrew, rather than Sarah, chose to create distance between them.

The fresh claims came as Andrew has officially surrendered Royal Lodge to the Crown Estate more than 50 years early on his lease.

He has fully vacated and paid £1.8m for dilapidations.

As per the terms of his lease he was entitled to compensation for early surrender of £302k.

The overall net amount received by The Crown Estate is £1.5m which is now ‘focussed on determining the potential future use of the property.’
